How developing countries can benefit from global value chains

Upcoming Conference

Are the de-localisation of services and global value chains new causes of the structural change in Latin America and the Caribbean?

In the upcoming conference participants will debate about the development of the industry of global services and its contribution to the structural change in the region. It is motivated by the fact that the off-shoring of global services amounted to USD 200 billion last year, and is growing due to the Information and Communication Technologies. Also to be debated are related topics, such as: The externalisation of technological processes, knowledge process outsourcing, and research, development, and innovation.
